Through responsible actions and close cooperation with all stakeholders the oil and gas industry were able to contribute to sustainable solutions. The World Petroleum Council has brought together industry leaders to discuss and demonstrate best available technology and practices in order to minimize impacts and risks to the people and environments where we operate around the world. By highlighting the industry’s global strategies, over 40 speakers endeavoured to demonstrate how we can contribute to raising the standards across the sector.

With global population projected to grow to nearly ten billion by 2050 energy demand continues to rise. All energy sources will be needed to provide affordable, reliable and modern energy services for everyone. The oil and gas sector is at the forefront of creating sustainable energy solutions, reducing energy emissions and increasing energy efficiency. Cooperation between all stakeholders is key to achieving a successful energy transition to a low-carbon future.
